What's the CPWD DSR rate for a soil-waste (SWR) stack pipe, per metre?
DSR 2021's own soil-waste-and-vent pipe item is cast iron only (there's no uPVC SWR line in the book) — the nearest DSR size to the common 110mm PVC trade pipe is this 100mm sand-cast iron item. Market-common uPVC SWR pipe (Astral/Prince, 110mm) is shown below as an alternative-material substitute — it needs Engineer-in-Charge approval and a non-schedule rate in a CPWD contract.
Preliminary Using CPWD DSR 2021 (Civil) item rates as published, this worked scenario adds up to ₹1,018.05 (items 17.35.1.1). The item rates are CPWD's Delhi base rates; the quantities and the item mix are NirmanDost's scenario, not a CPWD bundle — adjust both to your site and apply your local cost index.
The recipe
What goes into one unit
Straight from CPWD's own rate analysis for these items — the material and labour they price into the rate above, per one unit of the item. Multiply by your quantity to get a shopping list. Carriage lines are left out: those pay for moving the material, not for extra material.
One metre of item 17.35.1.1 — 100 mm dia Sand cast iron S&S pipe as per IS: 1729
| Item | Qty | Unit | In site terms |
|---|---|---|---|
| Carriage | 3.1 | L.S. | |
| S.C.I. soil, waste and vent single socketed pipe 1.80 metres long: 100 mm dia | 0.6045 | each | |
| Beldar | 0.0478 | day | |
| Fitter (grade 1) | 0.0242 | day | |
| Bandhani | 0.0121 | day |

Variations
Notes
- Rates shown are CPWD Delhi base rates from CPWD DSR 2021 (Civil), as published (our extract of the book is dated 2025) — apply your local market / cost-index variation.
- CPWD has published later editions since (its site lists DSR 2023); the 2021 figures here are reference rates, not the schedule in force for a current tender.
- The item mix and quantities on this page are a NirmanDost worked scenario; the rates, units and descriptions in each row are CPWD's, verbatim. Every code opens in CivicMate for the source row.
